A nicotine test measures the level of nicotine—or the chemicals it produces—in your body. It's usually done by testing a sample of your blood or urine. The test is used to see if you smoke or use other forms of tobacco. All forms of tobacco have nicotine. This includes pipe tobacco, cigars, cigarettes, chewing tobacco, and snuff. It also includes e-cigarettes and quit-smoking aids like nicotine gum and nicotine patches. Your body breaks down nicotine into several chemicals, such as cotinine, that can be found by these tests. You may be asked to have a test when you apply for a job.

An Obamacare guide for freelancers and the self-employed
Lately we’ve been attending a bunch of workshops geared towards helping various communities navigate the Affordable Care Act. It’s mostly for the Q&A’s– we know Obamacare as well as anyone, but it’s always helpful to hear what parts of the law are confusing to people who are new to the whole thing. At a recent ACA workshop for working artists we heard one question that was particularly hard to answer: To get the subsidy to pay for insurance, you have to estimate your annual income. But what do you do if you have no idea what your annual income will be? That’s a concern for anyone who freelances or is self-employed, and it makes navigating the new system particularly difficult for these folk.
24-hour AD&D vs. Flight Accident AD&D
Accidental Death and Dismemberment, or AD&D, coverage pays an indemnity (a lump sum payment) up to the amount defined in the policy for the loss of life or functioning limbs to you or your beneficiary(ies). Death benefits are paid at 100% of the policy limit; dismemberment benefits are paid at a percentage for one loss and increase for multiple losses up to 100% of the policy limit. Loss of life benefits are paid in addition to any benefits paid by other life insurance plans. Two types of AD&D Travel insurance has two different types of AD&D coverage, each of which covers accidents that occur during a covered trip or during the flight portion of a covered trip: 24-hour AD&D – this protection provides coverage in the event you are injured or lose your life in an accident any time during your travel.
Student health insurance
All registered domestic students taking six or more credit hours, doctoral students and other special academic program students are eligible to enroll in a student health and basic accident plan administered through an outside insurance agent, Leonard Insurance Services. The plan is underwritten by Student Educational Benefit Trust (SEBT). It is a voluntary program that domestic students may choose to enroll in if they find the coverage adequate for their needs. The University makes the coverage available to students purely as a service only, and we do not receive commissions from the program.
