Aon Motor Insurance Products

The Aon Motor insurance is a comprehensive Motor Package that is purchased for cars and other road vehicles to provide financial protection against physical damage and/or bodily injury following an accident, fire, flood or malicious damage. It also covers the theft of the vehicle and the third party liability arising out of the use of the vehicle. The geographical coverage of this policy is Kenya, but can also be extended to East Africa.

Private vehicles

The Aon private motor policy provides insurance protection against accidental loss or damage to personal private motor vehicles including the standard accessories and spare parts as well as protection against legal liability to third parties.

Extra free benefits: The private motor insurance package has various free extra benefits which are applicable subject to there being a claim payable under the policy. These extensions include,

  • Cost of emergency accommodation
  • Loss or damage to personal effects of driver/passenger
  • Fatal personal accident (PA) cover
  • Loss of use (Car Hire)
  • Forced ATM cash withdrawal following a successful theft of vehicle
  • No excess subject to Police Abstract Report confirmation.
  • Geographical area - East Africa, but excluding 3 rd. party liabilities outside Kenya
  • Loss of Keys

24 hour road rescue service

This cover provides Road Rescue assistance 24 Hours a day, 365 days a year in the event that a vehicle is involved in a Road Accident, Breakdown or Theft. These services are offered within Nairobi. The Benefits to this include:

  • Inform & arrange for the Police to attend to the accident
  • Assist the insured deal with the Police & Third Parties
  • Collect insurance and damage details of vehicles involved
  • In case of an injury arrange for Ambulance to Hospital
  • If the

    vehicle is disabled drive the insured to one destination within Nairobi.

  • Recover and tow the vehicle to a garage of the insured’s choice
  • Assistance if your car breaks down
  • Assist the insured obtain a Police Abstract Report

Owners of private vehicles and pick-ups upto 1 Ton vehicles must be declared for private and personal use only

All vehicles should be fitted with an alarm system with certificate/proof of the same to be submitted for free car stereo and free personal effects cover to apply

The insured or any person authorized by the insured and holding a valid driving license

COMMERCIAL MOTOR

The Aon motor commercial policy provides comprehensive commercial auto insurance to indemnity business firms and large corporations against accidental loss or damage to the motor vehicle and its accessories as well as protect against legal liability to third parties. This commercial vehicles can be categorized into own goods or general cartage.

Additional benefits

The benefits specified for private vehicles also apply to commercial vehicles – own goods.

For general cartage, only the under noted additional benefits apply:

  • Loss or damage to personal effects of driver/passenger
  • Fatal personal accident (PA) cover
